After a recent assessment, OSI now offers inspections for all projects
Outsource Special Inspections (OSI), a trusted source for special inspections in New York City since 2012, is excited to announce its transition from a Class 2 to Class 1 agency. This upgrade, which significantly expands the amount of inspections offered by OSI, marks a major milestone for the company.
With a Class 1 certification, OSI will be able to address any type of inspection for every type of client. While Class 2 agencies are limited to small and mid-size projects, Class 1 agencies can inspect “major buildings,” which the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) defines as buildings that are over 10 stories, over 125 ft high, or with a building footprint over 100,000 sq ft. There are estimated to be more than 1 million buildings in NYC, thousands of which are considered major buildings. OSI’s new classification opens the door to a wealth of potential clients, who may be looking for an established, versatile special inspections agency to handle their projects.
In addition to the previous list of inspection services, OSI is now qualified to perform inspections for the following:
From two-story residential buildings to corporate skyscrapers, OSI is equipped to manage projects of all types and sizes. Current clients include architects, engineers, contractors, building owners, building managers and tenants alike. As a newly certified Class 1 agency, OSI is projected to further diversify and expand its client base, offering tailored assistance for all.
